Are you a cook?

I can cook, but I can be a bit hit or miss! Gareth is definitely the better cook. I’m good at baking and prefer it.

Any cooking tips?

Ask Gaz to do it! Also, crème fraîche is great in a stroganoff.

What’s your favourite dish?

Spaghetti carbonara. I love Italian food and could eat pasta every day and not get bored.

And a drink to go with it?

Blossom Hill White Zinfandel is my favourite mass market rosé.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Italian Express in Walkley makes amazing pizzas!

And pub?

I have three favourites: the Fox House on Hathersage Road, the Old Horns Inn in High Bradfield and the Broadfield Ale House on Abbeydale Road – but make sure you book.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

I can’t remember having a particularly bad meal, but I’m very easily pleased!

And the best?

Piccolino’s spaghetti carbonara is the best carbonara I’ve had.

Your favourite TV cook?

Gordon Ramsay – I know he’s brash but his TV programs are so entertaining.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

There’s loads of choice. Our next restaurant to try out will be VeroGusto in the city centre. My Loadhog colleagues rave about it.
