Flu jabs could save old folk

VULNERABLE South Yorkshire residents are being urged to take up the free flu jab - and possibly save their lives.

As well as the elderly, people under 65 suffering from asthma, diabetes or serious heart, chest or kidney problems should take up the offer.

Dr Robin Carlisle, Consultant in Public Health at Rotherham Primary Care Trust, said: “Flu is much more serious than a cold.”
