THE heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £48,500 to Barnsley Council for a ‘Flour Power’ project at Worsbrough Mill Museum and Country Park.
It will be used to research the history of the site and produce new display panels and interactive facilities.
A range of new activities will also be run, including visits and resources for schools as well as walks, talks and tours for adults and families.
Worsbrough Mill Museum is a 17th century water powered mill, which still produces flour today.
Barnsley Councillor Tim Cheetham said: “I am thrilled to have received the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund for this special place and I’m confident this grant will enable transformational improvements to the visitor offer and the engagement of our local community.”
