Flexible friends are planning Doncaster’s second annual Yogathon to raise funds for St John’s Hospice.
On International Yoga Day – Sunday 21 June – Tall Trees Yoga and Pilates will host a day of yoga and pilates classes, workshops, stalls and a sponsored Sun Salutation Challenge, between 9am–4pm.
There will be something for everyone including yoga for kids, seniors, athletes and those who want pure relaxation.
Everyone including complete beginners are welcome to come along to try a class or two, participate in mini-workshops (topics include Yoga Philosophy, Chakra healing and Chanting), browse the stalls selling yoga and wellbeing related items and try some tasty vegetarian food.
“This is a great opportunity to come along to try something different and hang out at Tall Trees with like-minded people. A lot of people say they aren’t flexible enough to do yoga but that’s like saying you are too dirty to take a bath,” says Rebecca Leam, yoga instructor. “The Yogathon will be a fun day for everyone to help raise some serious funds for St. John’s Hospice, based just around the corner from the studio. It’s such a worthy cause that touches and supports so many people.”
There are numerous ways to get involved from holding a stall, gaining sponsorship for the Sun Salutation Challenge, and participating in a class and/or workshop.
Tall Trees Yoga & Pilates is situated at Woodfield Park off Tickhill Road, Balby.
Classes and workshops aer £5 each, or purchase an unlimited day pass for £20.
