Five men stabbed in Sheffield city centre on New Year's Day

Five men were stabbed in an attack at a bar in Sheffield city centre in the early hours of this morning.

Violence broke out at Crystal on Carver Street at around 2.20am and five men were knifed.

South Yorkshire Police said the venue closed after the incident and the bar was sealed off.

A search is to be carried out today.

CCTV footage from in and around the bar is to be examined.
