Five in court on burglary and car crime charges

Five men have appeared before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court charged with burglary and vehicle crime.

Gregory Allen, aged 42, and Darren Smith, 37, both of Badsley Moor Lane, Rotherham, are charged with handling stolen goods from a burglary in the Holmes area on November 9.

Barry Patterson, 42, of Doncaster Road, is charged with two offences on Quarry Street in Rawmarsh – an attempted burglary which took place on Monday this week, and a burglary on Wednesday.

Michael Hancock, 39, of no fixed address, is charged with theft from a motor vehicle on Rippon Court, Rawmarsh, on October 20, and a burglary on Haugh Road, Rawmarsh, on October 21.

And Ricky O’Mahony, 29, of Dawson Avenue, Rawmarsh, is charged with burglary at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology on Monday.
