Firefighters and police officers were called to Aldi on Littlefield Road, Dinnington, this morning after staff discovered the shop had been broken into at around 1.25am, with entry gained via the ceiling air duct system.

It was thought the offender was still in the roof, resulting in a thorough search of the roof space lasting around five hours - which revealed there was no-one there.
