First Sheffield streets sent to tree panel
Households across the city have received surveys asking for residents’ views on planned tree felling as part of Sheffield Council’s roads contract with Streets Ahead.
If more than half of respondents have concerns, then an independent tree panel - launched last November - will consider the street again.

Also, some 36 streets out of those already surveyed across the city have been referred back to the panel, although the council will still make a final decision.
Panel chairman Andy Buck said the panel would be meeting ‘in the coming weeks’ to discuss evidence and residents’ concerns.
