First pictures of damage at Sheffield Tim Hortons after restaurant fire
The first pictures of Tim Hortons restaurant in Sheffield the day after a fire tore through the building show the extent of the damage caused.
The blaze broke out at around 10pm last night at the Canadian chain’s Crystal Peaks branch, which is due to open later this year.
Pictures shared on social media late on Tuesday showed a fire inside the restaurant with at least one engine outside.
Today, part of the restaurant’s frontage was charred and blackened but it was not immediately clear how much damage had been done inside the premises.
Restaurant bosses said today they were hoping to find out the full impact of the fire once an investigation has been completed.
A spokesperson said the fire was extinguished ‘quickly’, adding what impact the blaze would have on the planned early summer opening of the new restaurant was not yet known.
The restaurant is set to offer dine-in seating for up to 118 guests as well as a drive-thru service.
