Firm wins website boost for recycling

Arkom, the Sheffield-based internet technology company, has become part of what is claimed to be a unique partnership to boost recycling and manage waste in the South of England.

The company is joining forces with the Waste Recycling Group, Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Councils in the “re3 project,” which aims to increase recycling and composting and decrease the amount of waste that needs to be disposed of.

Arkom has won the contract to design a website for the initiative which will provide information on individual projects and campaigns on green issues and details of the locations where householders can recycle waste and find composting facilities.

Managing director Alan Easter Robinson said: “The re3 website is a very prestigious one for us to win.

“The partnership between the three councils shows that they are committed to reducing household waste and the website is critical in this regard. Arkom has…delivered a website which will encourage members of the public to recycle more of their household waste.”
