Kind-hearted staff at a Sheffield firm dipped their hands into their pockets to help a charity’s appeal.
Employees at insolvency practitioners Wilson Field decided to help the Well Wish Society in Wombwell, Barnsley, after it suffered a break-in which meant it would not be able to give presents to sick children this Christmas.
The 70 members of staff decided to use money raised from a dress down day and a donation from the company’s charity committee to buy toys for the children.
Aimee Carrack, from Wilson Field, said: “When staff heard about this incident we decided to do something proactive.
“This charity donates Christmas presents to children with disabilities, serious illness, or other life limiting disorders.
“To be targeted in this way was a despicable act.”
