Firefighters free child trapped in bedroom
Barnsley firefighters kicked the door in to free a child trapped in her bedroom last night.

Fire crews were called to Westbourne Terrace, in the west of the town, after the three-year-old locked herself in the bedroom.
Her worried parents had taken the handle off the door in their attempts to let the toddler out of her room, at 1.45am.
The tactic didn't work, and fire crews were called. They freed her shortly after.
Elsewhere, garden fires at Goldthorpe and Kendrick kept other crews busy last night.
