Fire crews attend arson attacks and blazes in South Yorkshire and Chesterfield

Fire crews across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire had to attend with several blazes last night.

A small grass fire was called in at 7:15pm on Falconer Lane, Woodhouse, Sheffield.

At 10pm, reports of arson attack on a skip was called in at Newland Avenue, Cudworth, Barsnley. A fire service spokesman said it was caused deliberately.

Reports of another skip fire was called in at 12:30am in Swanbourne Road, Firth Park, Sheffield. A crew from Elm Lane fire station attended the incident. A fire service spokesman said the blaze was started deliberately.

In Chesterfield, a fire crew was called to a car fire in Piccadilly Road at 04:40am. There has been no confirmation if the fire was started deliberately or not.
