FIREFIGHTERS hosted a family fun day in Rotherham to develop links with the community and offer fire safety advice to residents.
The event at Eastwood Methodist Church, Fitzwilliam Road, was organised by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Free entertainment was provided including music, dance workshops and craft stalls.
There was live entertainment from a Slovak folk band, budding chefs tried out their culinary skills at free cooking classes and Rotherham United took along an inflatable football pitch.
A spokesman said: “Fire service staff spoke to residents about preventing fires in the home.”
