Final phase of Clumber Park restoration project now complete

The final phase of the restoration of the Long Range Glasshouse in Clumber Park is complete.

A Grade II listed structure, measuring 130 metres, the Long Range is the longest glasshouse in the care of the National Trust and runs the full width of Clumber Park’s Walled Kitchen Garden.

The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded a £49,000 grant towards the cost of the work.

Head gardener Chris Margrave said: “We’re extremely grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund and all those that have made donations.

“Having the glasshouse restored to its former glory will be a real bonus for the garden here at Clumber.”

National Trust and Clumber Park fundraising efforts raised the rest of the money needed for the project.
