Film trip down memory lane

TAKE a trip down memory lane and see the ordinary lives of Sheffielders during the years before Park Hill flats were built.

A historical film, The Way We Used to Live: Park Hill, will be screened along with live music and reminiscences from residents.

The event has been organised by the Friends of Sheaf Valley Park and will take place at Sheffield Trades and Labour Club, Talbot Street, from 7.30pm tomorrow.

Entry is £3 per person and can be paid on the door.

A spokeswoman said: “It’s a rare opportunity to see historic, silent film of the area of Sheffield before the Park Hill complex as we know it today was built.”

The film was sourced from Yorkshire Film Archive.
