Festive food and treats donated to Sheffield foodbank

Kind-hearted residents and businesses in a Sheffield suburb filled 30 crates with donations of food and festive treats for a city foodbank.

The collection was organised by Fulwood Labour Party members, who ran a stall outside the local Co-op store, where donations could be made.

Branch chairman High Tollyfield said: “We were delighted with the generous gifts we received. It wasn’t just the quantity of items, though people brought whole shopping bags full. It was also the quality of things.”

The items will be donated to the S6 foodbank, which serves the west of Sheffield.
