A NEW Blues festival due to take place at Rotherham’s Magna Centre has been cancelled due to poor advance ticket sales.
The three-day event was due to start on Saturday April 30 and feature an international line-up, including former Cream bass player Jack Bruce.
But today organisers said advance ticket sales were too slow and they’d decided to cancel the event.
A spokesman said: “The financial implications of running the event without the support of advance ticket sales were too great.
“The festival’s core aim was to raise money for really deserving local and national charities so this decision was certainly not taken lightly.”
Those who bought tickets in advance will be contacted in the next few days and be reimbursed in full.
