PREPARATIONS are being made for the annual Lowedges Festival which last year attracted more than 10,000 visitors from across Sheffield.

The event, organised by Greenhill and Bradway Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, is on Sunday, August 12, from noon until 5pm.

An array of attractions are being laid on in four arenas, with a dog show, medieval re-enactments, live music and dance. Other entertainment includes a Punch and Judy show and Dronfield Brass Band.

There will also be an ice rink and snow machines, a fun fair, stalls, farmers’ market, trade stands and a mini steam train.

There is also a climbing wall, classic vehicle show, inflatable football pitch and boxing rings.
