Felling of trees was motivated by cost

In regards to the felling of trees on Rustling Road it has always been motivated by cost saving and not the environment or safety and it would not be unreasonable to raise the road level to rebury the roots.

I would also like to know and have proof as to what happened to the timber from these lime trees.

I on occasion do wood carving and even a small piece of lime wood costs about £20 so you can imagine what a whole tree is worth.

And just maybe Amey the road maintenance people knew this and already had a buyer for these trees so as to cash in on the extra profit it would reap.

The Labour council in Sheffield need to be brought to account on this fiasco and council leader Julia Dore should resign now for having dealt with this in this way
