Feast of music at Sheffield pub helps hospice

THE sound of country music and blues comes to Sheffield this weekend as The Greystones pub hosts a Mini Music Festival in support of St Luke’s Hospice.

The event, to be held on Sunday, August 19, is being hosted by keen hospice supporters Thornbridge Brewery and includes a barbecue and children’s entertainment.

Music begins at 4.30pm with a host of live musicians and bands, including The Clench, Andrew Tregoning, Captives of the Carousel and Joe McGee.

But the evening’s big attraction – on stage in the Backroom from 8.30pm and with tickets at £5 – is an appearance by Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson, the Australian singers who present a unique blend of blues blended with Irish roots and old time swing.

St Luke’s Hospice is raising £5 million to fund redevelopment of its Whirlow site.
