Police in Sheffield are re-appealing for information as they grow increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing 48-year-old Matthew Hodgson from Charnock, Sheffield.

Matthew, known to family and friends as Max or David, has not been in contact with anyone since around 1pm on Wednesday, October 26.

Concerns are growing for his wellbeing as he needs regular medication.

He has an interest in the outdoors and is known to visit the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire areas.

There has been a possible sighting of him in Castleton and another in Hathersage on November 1.

Matthew is 6ft tall, of medium build, balding and with grey hair. He speaks with a local accent and sometimes wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper, jeans, a black Fila anorak and white trainers. It is also believed he had an old navy blue rucksack with him.

Anyone with information is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
