I'm rediscovering a need for the humble black comb in grooming my face.
This is not over-exposure to the moon but a decision in following the fashion trend of modern-day footballers and grow a beard.
Adopting the hirsute look of Victorian military men, Australian explorers and bushrangers, staff (male ones) and customers of Mr Birkett’s celebrated Blake Hotel is now de rigeur. The use of citrus-scented beard oil and a deep cleansing shampoo are heartily recommend. I occasionally top up with lemon Jiff and my facial growth has the fragrance and softness of a lemon meringue pie. Ladies take note.
