Young farmers in and around Bakewell had a visit from the police to advise them about crimes affecting the farming community.
Officers from the Hathersage Area Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team spoke about the theft of fuel and the thefts of Land Rover Defenders.
Special Constable Jesse Conquest said: “The aim was to help improve our links with the farming community and raise awareness of recent trends in crime.
“The talk was really well received and I had positive feedback from the group. It is important we communicate and engage with our local farming community and we hope to organise further visits and talks in the future.”
The young farmers’ group has around 70 members aged 10 to 26 years old.
