Farm in bid for award

A SHEFFIELD farm has been shortlisted in a national competition to promote farming education in local communities.

Whirlow Hall Farm is competing against four others from across the UK in the Promotion of Countryside Careers Award.

It is organised by crop protection business Bayer CropScience and Farming and Countryside Education.

The winner of this and other categories will be presented their award by Countryfile and Radio 4 broadcaster Tom Heap at a lunch at London's Kensington Roof Gardens on September 7.
