Famous climbers to visit Peak District

Have your say

Experienced and novice climbers are invited to spend a day in the Peak District with some of the biggest names in the sport.

The event at the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate on September 19 will see Leo Houlding, Katy Whittaker, Johnny Dawes, James Mchaffie, Mina Leslie-Wujastyk, Ben Bransby and Adam Long convene on the estate for a day of stories and action.

Visitors will have the chance to climb with the professionals and then listen to them talk about their own experiences and adventures from their various expeditions by a camp fire.

The gritstone crags that surround Longshaw are world famous and many internationally successful climbers learned their trade on the rocks.
