HALF of Sheffield families make cutbacks or take on second jobs to fund summer holidays, according to a survey.

A third of city families spent over £2,000 on summer holidays and £80 extra a week during the school break.

But although 44 per cent need to raise extra cash to pay for summer, only 18 per cent had thought of selling unwanted stuff to ease the strain, Cash Converters found.
