police are praising the public after burglaries at insecure properties in Doncaster fell by 32 per cent in three months.

Insecure burglaries occur when a property is left unlocked, or windows and doors are left insecure - an open invitation for opportunistic thieves.

But Supt Eddie Murphy said: “Since November, we have been delivering the message to the public to always ensure their property is secure, to prevent them from becoming a victim of crime. I would like to thank our residents in Doncaster for taking note of our advice and their assistance in helping us tackle crime.”
