Karen Matthews, the Dewsbury mum jailed over the kidnapping of her daughter Shannon, is out of prison and dating.
Her prerogative; she’s done her time.
But it’s said she wants to have children with her new lover. Karen already has seven children in care. The time and effort that will have to go into rebuilding those children’s lives, Shannon’s in particular, must be immense.
If she’s convinced she can turn over a new leaf and be a doting mother, authorities won’t be. It’s highly likely a baby would be taken from her at birth. She must know that.
She should be putting her energy into making it up to the kids she’s got rather than selfishly bringing another innocent into the sorry picture.
