The facts explained

I found the article by your columnist Sean Harding, a former tree surgeon, very enlightening.

This mirrored the philosophy of another professional whom I wrote about and was printed by The Star some time back, when the tree thing began.

If it will help, I will try to explain the facts.

My man prophesied the tree situation that would affect Sheffield.

Apparently it became the policy of many councils to start planting trees.

Unfortunately Sheffield, like many others was misguided and woodland trees became the norm.

My man explained that the roots of that variety would grow three times the height of those trees.

His prophesy has now come home to roost.

Oops sorry.

Sean Harding would no doubt confirm this.
