THIS is the face of the man who sparked a huge emergency on a Sheffield estate by wielding a knife in the street and threatening to attack police officers.
Mark Johnson, aged 36, held a knife to his partner’s throat, then had to be persuaded to drop the weapon by negotiators following a three-hour siege on Winn Gardens in Middlewood.
Johnson, who had a history of convictions for domestic violence, armed himself with the blade when a drunken row spiralled out of control.
He was jailed for 15 months at Sheffield Crown Court.
Judge Jeremy Baker QC said the incident was ‘potentially lethal’.
