Extension set to be bulldozed

ENFORCEMENT action could be ordered against a Sheffield homeowner who has built a large rear extension without planning permission.

Sheffield Council’s city centre, south and east planning board will consider a retrospective application for the single-storey rear extension at a house on Fielder Mews, Firth Park, at a meeting on Monday.

Planning officers are recommending the application is refused due to its ‘excessive size’ – and that an enforcement notice is issued giving the owner three months to demolish the extension or face legal action.
