Expansion hope at caravan park

Have your say

EXPANSION plans have been put forward for a caravan park on the edge of Sheffield.

The plans involve eight more mobile homes at Bramley Park Caravan Site, Marsh Lane, Eckington, which has 42 homes.

The homes would be across grassland and a site which houses nine garages.

Eckington Parish Council has objected, due to overdevelopment in a conservation area, while Moss Valley Wildlife Group says the grassland may be used by foraging mammals.

But the plans are recommended for approval at a meeting of North East Derbyshire Council’s planning board tomorrow.

Officers say they would ‘not be detrimental’ to the area.
