Exciting new work showcase '“ plus pizza!
There will be clowning, a granny, magic and more as The Civic in Barnsley hosts a theatrical showcase of some of the best in new northern performing art, in special weekend event.

A showcase of some of the UK's finest emerging and experimental artists, NewWorkWeekend offers up a double bill of new performances each night for £10, plus free free pizza.
First up on Friday 12 is The Economy of Ecology, a provocative story about communications and our impact on the natural world.
Following an interval (and pizza) will be Wonders, Wonders, Wonders, a spectacle of circus, clowning, physical theatre, dance and music.

On Saturday, the evening starts with BEAM by Lucy Haighton, a celebration of the bravery of an older generation.
The second, interactive, show is Standard:Elite. Everyone gets a Standard ticket but you must earn an Elite ticket.
