Ex-councillor dies, aged 82

FORMER Doncaster councillor and school governor William Trevor Kelly has died at the age of 82 after suffering from liver cancer.

Mr Kelly served as a Labour councillor for the Intake ward in the 1980s and ’90s and was also a governor of Danum School.

He was widowed in 1971 and brought up his family of six children single-handedly as well as maintaining his political commitments.

Mr Kelly also acted as election agent for the late Doncaster MP Harold Walker.
