TWENTY cyclists will be looking to conquer a 35-mile course in a sponsored ride to raise money for wounded soldiers’ charity Help for Heroes.

The event takes place on Sunday from 10am, with riders embarking on a circular route from The Wharncliffe Arms pub in Burncross.

As well as the bike ride, pub goers are also aiming to raise funds for the charity by throwing a live music night on Saturday, May 7.

Tickets for the event are £4 on the night and include a pie and pea supper, and there will also be a raffle with top prizes of a 32-inch flatscreen TV and £100 cash. All food and raffle prizes have been donated by local businesses.
