They need to be prepared for our amazing open spaces, the incredible bars and restaurants and the brilliantly friendly residents.

But there's one thing that visitors have to understand when they're coming to Sheffield '“ our way of speaking. 

You don't need to go quite as far as learning an entirely new language but there are a few words and phrases that could definitely trip you up.

This could be particularly difficult for any students heading to Sheffield for the first time in a few weeks.
