Yorkshire’s reservoirs are less than half full - and falling.
Yorkshire Water says stocks are at 42.7 per cent, down from 45.4 per cent last week and 47.6 per cent the week before.
The firm says they are “well below” the 68.7 per cent average for this point of the year.
It comes after the UK experienced record temperatures and four heatwaves in spring and summer.
Yorkshire Water says rain will need to be above average to recover going into 2027.
But it is not anticipating a hosepipe ban.
