South Yorkshire Police taped off the pedestrianised area outside Atkinsons and The Cabin cafe on Sunday afternoon while a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crew from Dearne secured the loose panel on the second floor of the department store on Fitzwilliam Gate.
It is believed Storm Ciara, which wreaked havoc across large parts of Sheffield and South Yorkshire yesterday (February 10), could have caused the window pane to come loose.
A tweet from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “And here’s something else you might not normally associate us with.
