The feedback from the consultation will help form The Sheffield Plan – a guide to development in the city until 2038 and will set out the blueprint for the growth and improvement of the local economy, housing and transport system.

The consultation runs for six weeks.

It will gather views on what people would like to be included in the Plan, which will cover areas such as addressing the housing needs of Sheffield’s growing population, tacking climate change and the future of the city’s high-street, parks and attractions.

Coun Bob Johnson, Sheffield Council cabinet member for transport and sustainability, said: “This consultation is an important opportunity to have your say on how you think our city should be developed in the future.

“The consultation will focus on our vision for Sheffield in years to come and will cover issues from housing and jobs to creating new communities.

“These big decisions will shape the future of Sheffield.

“It’s important that we hear from as many local people as possible, this is your city and we need to know what is most important to you and how you would like to see it develop.”

Online consultation drop-in sessions will be held via Zoom and will include a short presentation followed by a Q&A session.
