21 photos of the best street art bringing creativity and colour to Sheffield city centre

Sheffield has never been more colourful thanks to artists being let loose on the city’s many hoardings and empty buildings.

Artwork has appeared on Fargate, Debenhams, Pounds Park, the former Salvation Army Citadel and the old Sheffield Lighting Shop on Charter Row, among others.

It may not be to everyone’s taste - but it sure beats graffiti, and you have to acknowledge the creativity on display.

Sheffield BID and the Friends of Sheffield City Centre are just two of the organisations to commission works.
