Entrepreneur is honoured by Queen

Adam Bradford, aged 23, who has Asperger syndrome, a form of autism, is one of 60 young people from across the Commonwealth who received the Queen’s Young Leader from Her Majesty in recognition of his work helping others in the UK.

Adam said: “I am honoured to be rewarded for helping others and I hope young people worldwide will feel inspired by all the Queen’s Young Leaders.

“Collecting my award from the Queen was such a special moment, she took the time to ask me about my work, and encouraged us all to keep up our work.

“I was also congratulated by Prince Harry who has been a great supporter of us all, and stressed the importance of continuing to lead the way for other young people. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me on my journey – my mentor Levi Roots, my family, my friends and all those who I have worked with along the way.

Adam launched a business aged 13 and entered it in the Sheffield Big Challenge competition.

Since then, he has gone on to mentor other young people around the globe and is an ambassador for Dragons Den star Peter Jones’ Enterprise Academies.
