NATURE enthusiasts are holding a two-day survey of insects and invertebrates at a major South Yorkshire wildlife habitat.
Members of Sheffield-based Sorby Natural History Society are heading out to Hatfield Moor on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11.
The survey is taking place in memory of former member Peter Skidmore, who conducted his own survey of the moorland’s wildlife 20 years ago.
The Sorby Natural History Society believes his work was ‘probably one of the best single site surveys ever done’.
A spokesman said: “Members can attend on either or both days but must register as the survey is on private land.
“Join in and explore a top class site.”
Members should email Helen Kirk at email@example.com to register.
