Entries are now open for the British Heart Foundation’s sixth annual Peak District Mountain Bike challenge, next Saturday, March 12.

The event, which is supported by Tesco, offers riders a chance to experience off road cycling, with everything from trail riding to tough, technical sections in Hope Valley in Derbyshire.

Participants will have the choice of two routes either 23 miles or 40 miles long.

Organisers are hoping over 500 cyclists will get involved, and have set a fundrasing target of £40,000 which will help fund essential research into treating coronary heart disease.
