Enjoy a pint or two of science down the pub
More than 30 academics from University of Sheffield will be giving talks in four city pubs for the next three days, on everything from the discovery of gravitational waves to three millennia of condoms.
The University is taking part in the international festival for the first time, with its researchers covering topics including robotics, rats’ whiskers and whether science can predict your next drink. Founded only four years ago by two UK researchers, the Pint of Science festival brings a unique line up of talks, demonstrations and live experiments to the world’s favourite drinking establishments.
