FANCY a piece of the Peak District in your home this Christmas?
Real Christmas trees from the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate will be available to buy from Saturday, November 24, as part of its festive celebrations
They will be available in the Christmas tree nursery next to the Woodcroft car park, near to the Fox House pub.
There will be a selection of five different types of non-needle drop trees to choose from – Blue Spruce, Fraser Fir, Nordman fir, Norway Spruce and Lodgepole Pine.
A National Trust Ranger said: “Christmas trees are really important to us at Longshaw – all year round we’re tending to the ones in our nursery, making sure they are really healthy, and growing new ones each year.”
Families can also enjoy Christmas craft making at Moorland Discovery Centre. Sessions will be held on Saturday, December 8, Sunday, December 9, Saturday, December 15, and Sunday, December 16, from 10am to 4pm.
And visitors can enjoy carol singing at 6pm and Christmas tree sales until 8pm on Wednesday, December 12.
