Energy firm in wrap up plea

Have your say

SHEFFIELD residents opt to turn their heating up instead of donning warmer clothing at home, a survey has found.

Energy company E.ON found 35 per cent of people in the city wear summer clothes inside, even during winter months. Of those asked, three quarters admitted to reaching for the thermostat instead of a jumper or thick socks.

Guy Esnouf, from E.ON, said: “Wearing warm clothing indoors is a simple step we should all consider taking to help ensure we aren’t wasting energy.”
