AN EMPTY shop unit on The Moor in Sheffield is to be the venue to mark the demise of a record shop in Teesside.
The unit will become the venue for a screening of Sound It Out - Jeanie Finlay’s 2011 ‘intimate documentary’ about the last existing record shop in Teesside.
The event is being organised by the Magic Lantern Film Club in collaboration with Sheffield music festival Tramlines, supported by the British Federation of Film Societies. The screening at number 65 on The Moor on July 22 at 2pm is free.
A Magic Lantern spokesperson said: “It’s a film about men, the North and the irreplaceable role music plays in our lives, made by Jeanie Finlay using crowd funding.”
