Firefighters were first on the scene and began helping the man until paramedics arrived and took him to hospital

An onlooker said: "The man was walking down the street when he collapsed and fell to the ground.

"A woman driving had to get out the car and make sure he was ok.

"The man was quite old, probably in his 80s. Thankfully, the fire service got here about 10 minutes after we called them and he's been taken to hospital."
