Emergency services deal with major incident near to Doncaster pub

Emergency services are dealing with a major incident near a Doncaster pub tonight.

The incident has taken place near to the Becher's Brook pub.

According to reports, large numbers of police and ambulance crews are in attendance at the incident which has happened near to the Becher’s Brook pub on Everingham Road, Cantley.

Unconfirmed reports suggest there has been a serious road accident near to the entrance to Cantley Park.

Eye witnesses have said the road is currently sealed off between Ascot Avenue and Newmarket Road.

It is understood numerous police vehicles and ambulances are in attendance at the scene, which is near Doncaster Rovers' training ground, inside Cantley Park.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and it is understood that bus services in the area are also being affected.

The pub is currently closed, in line with Government guidance as part of the coronavirus lockdown.
